Intelligent Energy Solutions are renewable energy specialists. Our wide product range including solar PV panels and solar thermal panels enables us to make sure that our customers are aware of all the available options. This means we can tailor a system to specific needs and therefore provide maximum benefit.
Solar Photovoltaic panels generate electricity rather than
hot water. These systems can be grid connected or independent for
isolated locations. Wind turbines and solar PV panels can
generate electricity that can be sold back to your electricity supplier.
Since April 2010 feed in tariffs (FiT) are available that pay larger sums to
system owners, this can give a return on investment of more than 10% per annum. The solar panels feed in tariff will be revised down at the end of June 2012 for new entrants. Payments for solar panel installations will typically be guaranteed for 25 years. The FiT will be revised down over the coming years in line with current solar panel prices and scheme uptake.
This changes to the FiT scheme will significantly change the returns available for solar photovoltaic installations. While the government expects the returns on solar Photovoltaic installations to remain attractive, they are likely to be less than the current, very generous scheme. These changes cause a massive surges of demand for solar panel installations upto each deadline, the next being the end of June 2012. This tends to lead to shortages in the supply of inverters and certain solar modules. This may mean that some installations fail to be completed before each cut off. We would recommend anyone considering a solar PV installation before July 2012 to act as early as possible to ensure eligibility.

This type of solar collector is designed to use the sun's
energy to generate hot water for both domestic and commercial use by
transferring heat from the collector to the storage cylinder.
This type of solar collector does not generate electricity however they can
be integrated with a heat pump system. Click the link below to find out
about how the government will pay system owners to generate heat, the
new scheme is called the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI). Our solar panel
pages also include detailed solar panel prices for registered users.
The RHI has been outlined as paying up to 18p/kWh for
energy produced from solar thermal panels. For commercial applications
this payment has now been confirmed at 8.5p/kWh.
Domestic solar panel installations will benefit from the
Renewable Heat Premium which will pay home owners £300 towards the cost
of installation.
